I find myself repeatedly coming back to the quote from Einstein, "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed."
I am still taken with the profound sense of gratitude I feel towards all participants in the December 2011 retreat. Most obviously to Sylvia as what has been accomplished at TheVine Center is astounding. I respectfully disagree with how the website identifies "The Temple" as where the ceremonies take place. I view all of TheVine Center as a Temple, complete with a spectacular Ceremony Hall. As I walked around, swam in the lagoon and shared wonderful meals with fellow travelers I was constantly struck with how it was all sacred ground. Complimented by sacred music during the ceremonies - hats off again to the "DJ"!
Thanks also to Alistair for the practices which were so helpful before, during and after the ceremonies. Your words were with me each time and I am certain played an important role in my overwhelmingly positive experiences. And last but not least, thanks to the group. It was a privilege to spend time with each of you and I truly hope to see you all again.
I had a most beautiful and mysterious time, rapt in awe.
